Black Stars coach, Otto Addo says he expects his side to grow after their first two games into the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.Ghana has had a challenging start to the qualifiers and currently sits 3rd in Group F with just a point.The Black Stars kicked off their qualifiers with a 1-0 loss to Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium last Thursday, followed by a 1-1 draw against Niger on Monday at the Stade Municipal de Berkane.Speaking after the game against the Super Eagles, the 45-year-old gaffer said they can still qualify for the tournament but expect his side to grow after the first two games."So it's still possible but we have to improve, we have to improve much. We have to improve to use our chances and also to defend better in detail and to learn our lessons."Like I said, the goals are too cheap and we have to grow from this we have to learn from this. This is even more than a wake-up call," he added.Ghana will now take on Kwesi Appiah's Sudan in a doubleheader in October.

Black Stars coach, Otto Addo says he expects his side to grow after their first two games into the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Ghana has had a challenging start to the qualifiers and currently sits 3rd in Group F with just a point.

The Black Stars kicked off their qualifiers with a 1-0 loss to Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium last Thursday, followed by a 1-1 draw against Niger on Monday at the Stade Municipal de Berkane.

Speaking after the game against the Super Eagles, the 45-year-old gaffer said they can still qualify for the tournament but expect his side to grow after the first two games.

"So it's still possible but we have to improve, we have to improve much. We have to improve to use our chances and also to defend better in detail and to learn our lessons.

"Like I said, the goals are too cheap and we have to grow from this we have to learn from this. This is even more than a wake-up call," he added.

Ghana will now take on Kwesi Appiah's Sudan in a doubleheader in October.
