2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers: Otto Addo and Black Stars assistant coaches join camp after accident

The three technical members of the Black Stars who were recently involved in a car accident have joined camp as the team gears up for their upcoming matches against Angola and Niger.Head coach Otto Addo, assistant coach John Paintsil, and goalkeeper trainer Fatau Dauda were traveling back to Accra from Tarkwa, where they had attended the Champion of Champions match between Samartex and Nsoatreman.The accident occurred on the Tarkwa-Takoradi road when their Land Cruiser swerved to avoid a head-on collision with a pick-up truck. While the left side of their vehicle was damaged, fortunately, no injuries were reported.According to Joy Sports, the trio has safely arrived at the team’s camp at Alisa Hotel in Accra.They are set to oversee the Black Stars' first training session later today. Ghana will face Angola on Thursday, September 5, followed by a match against Niger in Morocco on September 9 as part of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
