Political science lecturer, Prof Ransford Gyampo has warned his students to be critical of politicians in the 2024 elections.
He has told them to be critical of the issues and not fall for the funfair that characterizes electioneering campaigns.
The Political Science lecturer noted that over the years, the focus has been on the sharing of T-shirts, among others, during elections.
However, politics have moved beyond just sharing of T-Shirts to explaining policies and programmes and providing clear-cut solutions to the challenges of the people.
“I see you diving because they said some MP has visited the area. They are sharing sachet water. They throw and you dive and people are diving over themselves. They are sharing T-shirts and they are throwing and people are diving over themselves. T-Shirt oo not Lacoste.”
