NPP Flagbearer Donates Over 5000 Dual Desks To 10,000 Pupils In 66 North-East Schools

Flagbearer of the NPP and Vice President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has donated of 5,280 Dual Desk furniture for 66 schools in the West Mamprusi Municipality to support education.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Municipality in the North East region, Arimeyaw Somo Lucky Basintale said the gesture comes at a time of great need by the schools and has saluted the NPP leader for heeding to their call.

Dr. Bawumia provided the financial support for the dual desks following a request made to him by the Municipal Assembly and the West Mamprusi Municipal Education Oversight Committee (MEOC).

The Vice President while sponsoring the desks building also directed that strict local Artisans from the municipality should be engaged to do the work in order to boost local economic development.

The 5280 dual Desks will support about 10,000 pupils in various schools at various communities in the municipality.

This is the second time the Vice President has supported education with furniture for the last three years, as he gave 1,000 dual Desk in the year 2022 to the District Assembly for distribution.

The 66 schools to benefit from the 5,280 dual Desks include the following:
