The John Dramani Mahama campaign has announced that he will institute the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving when he is elected president.
He made this known when he met with religious leaders in Ho, in the Volta Region of Ghana.
John Dramani Mahama said the essence of the day is to thank God for what he has done for the country and seek blessings for the nation.
He mentioned that he has, in the past, attended a similar event in Zambia indicating that the Day will help God also provide more for the people of Ghana.
