Former Chairperson for Ghana’s Electoral Commission Charlotte Osei has opened up about threats she received during her tenure as Commissioner.
According to her, threats came to her through her mail.
She added that sometimes the security agencies call her to warn her about her life and the need to take her security seriously.
“There were threats through the mail. Sometimes the security agencies will call and caution you that there were some threats so be careful”.
She mentioned that her children especially went through a difficult time suffering abuse from people.
“My family had a very difficult time because I had young kids and sometimes they were abused in school,” she told Accra-based Joy FM.
