The 2024 Flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party, Mahamudu Bawumia has said the current intermittent power cuts also known as dumsor being experienced in the country will soon be over.
Power consumers have been experiencing power outages in the past few months raising concerns about a possible return to the power rationing (Dumsor) under the Mahama regime.
They have called for a power rationing timetable to enable them plan.
But the Minister of Energy has said there is no power rationing hence no need to furnish consumers with a timetable.
Addressing the religious leaders in Akropong on Monday, (April 29) to kick start his campaign tour in the Eastern Region, Bawumia said “I know that there are challenges … we are going to work on them.”
“Currently, we have issues with power but I say that from the information I have received from the Minister for Energy, those power challenges will very soon, and I mean very soon be a thing of the past,” Bawumia added.
