We won’t be appointees amassing wealth while party work suffers—Eric Adjei

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Eric Adjei, has assured the opposition political party that they will not make things easy for them in opposition.

He says unlike in the past, where government appointees amassed wealth and neglected party work, they intend to work hard as appointees and continue to ensure their party is given a fair representation in the national discourse.

To him, the youth who have been appointed to key sectors of the economy will not let the people of Ghana down because they intend to invest their all in the running of the affairs of the country.

“No one in the NPP can compare his credibility to that of President Mahama. The people of Ghana have shown us that the president is the most credible man in the country. Unlike those who had their appointee abandon party work, we will work hard in our offices and also ensure that we give our party a fair representation in the national discourse. We are not leaving the space for them to throw the jabs at President Mahama,” he told Asempa FM in Accra.

“Ghanaians are happy with President Mahama’s appointments. Everyone knows the membership of committees formed by the government, and there is a need for all of us to support the government to win. I’ve always maintained that it is better to support the government to win because if they fail, the next government will start from failure and that won’t be good for our country,” he said.
