FC Samartex head coach Nurudeen Amadu has revealed that his objective, along with the club's management, is to advance to the next level in the 2024/25 CAF Champions League.The Samreboi-based club clinched the Ghana Premier League title in just their second season in the top flight, earning the opportunity to represent Ghana in Africa’s premier club competition.With just 15 days remaining before their first leg against the Cameroonian side, the Timber Giants are ramping up their preparations.“So since it's our debut, we are also trying to go far. We try to do our best. It's not going to be easy,” he told Joy Sports.“But we and the board, management, everybody, the investors, we are all motivated. We want to carry the team to a different level.”The first and second leg matches between Samartex and Victoria United in the first preliminary round are scheduled for August 16 and 25, 2024.Nurudeen Amadu's side will travel to Cameroon for the first leg before returning home for the second leg.
