We are presenting a custom-made candidate to Ghana, says Kufuor

Former president, John Agyekum Kufuor, has said that the 2024 manifesto document of the party contains measures to achieve progress and economic growth.

Speaking at the launch of the 2024 NPP manifesto in Takoradi on Sunday, (18 August) Kufuor said the presidential candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahamudu Bawumia, is the best man for the job ahead.

“And particularly for the moment we are in now as a nation, I believe in the man of the moment. The whole world is talking about digitalisation.”

He added, “Bawumia seems cut for the moment, cut for the occasion, and custom-made. He’s been exposed internationally.”

Highlighting the accolades of the vice-president, Mahamudu Bawumia, the former president said, “He’s an international banker. He’s studied politics. In fact, he was born into politics.”

“And it’s because of his loyalty to the tradition that the party gave him the chance to be the candidate. So please, we are presenting a custom-made candidate to Ghana.

“A candidate that will digitalise the economy and social policy. A candidate that understands geopolitics and relates his foreign policy will bring on board a sound relationship whose core will be Ghana’s best interests internationally.”
