Ghanaian Prophet Bernard ElBernard shared his unconventional views on tithing within his church in an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
He emphasized that he does not impose any mandates regarding tithing, positioning his primary mission as spreading the gospel rather than collecting funds.
“Tithing holds little significance in my ministry’s teachings,” he stated, highlighting a more relaxed approach to financial contributions from his congregation.
ElBernard clarified that while those who believe in the divine benefits of tithing are welcome to contribute, it is not a requirement.
He expressed that members of his congregation should feel free to participate based on their convictions rather than obligation. “If you feel led to give, that’s wonderful. But if not, there’s no pressure,” he explained.
When pressed by Fiifi Praat for more insight on the importance of tithing, ElBernard remained firm, asserting that his stance hadn’t changed.
He does not subscribe to any rigid theoretical framework concerning tithing and maintains that all funds collected are directed toward the church’s mission and developmental projects.
