The former President of Ghana and flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has indicated that the verdict of the current government is evident in the current economic crisis.

According to him, the country has sunk into an economic abyss after almost 8 years under the deplorable leadership of the Akuffo Addo and the Bawumia administration.

The former President believes that the current government should not be given any opportunity near governance.

“After almost 8 years under the deplorable leadership of the Akuffo Addo and the Bawumia administration, we have seen our country sink into a serious economic abyss. The current economic mess sums up the verdict on this NPP administration,” he said.

The former President who was addressing the media said the current economic mess has led to grave employment issues among especially the youth and there will be a need for these to be addressed.

“The unprecedented levels of Poverty, unemployment, deterioration in our peoples livelihoods and social inequity expose the devious strategy of hiding incompetence under sloganeering,” he said.
