The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has assured Ghanaians that shutting down FPSO John Agyekum Kufour will not result in power outages.
The shutdown, according to the ECG, will take place from September 12 to 18 to allow them to undertake some maintenance work.
The statement from the ECG said it had made alternative arrangements for fuel to mitigate the impact of the shutdown on power generation.
The power company, however, added that in the unlikely event that power generation will be impacted, the public will be duly informed.
