Sarkodie, King Promise to light up Paris Olympic Games

Sarkodie, real name Michael Owusu Addo and Gregory Bortey Newman, popularly known as King Promise, are set to ignite the Ghana Stand at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, according to the French embassy’s cooperation Attaché, Marine Hayem.

Hayem confirmed the news during a press briefing held on Monday (8 July), organised by the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) to provide media updates on Team Ghana’s preparations.

Sarkodie and King Promise, alongside other prominent Ghanaian artists, will take centre stage, entertaining sports fans at the Paris Games.

Ghana will be sending a nine-member delegation to compete in athletics and swimming events.

This includes Abdul-Rasheed Saminu (men’s 100m and 200m), Benjamin Azamati (men’s 100m), Rose Amoanimaa Yeboah (women’s high jump), Harry Stacey (men’s 100m freestyle), Joselle Mensah (women’s 50m freestyle), and Ghana’s formidable men’s 4x100m relay team consisting of Benjamin Azamati, Isaac Botsio, Joseph Paul Amoah, Fuseini Ibrahim and Edwin Gadayi.
