Right to Dream Academy Founder Tom Vernon is thrilled the academy’s vision is attracting legend to the club.Former Chelsea midfielder Juan Manuel Mata Garcia is the latest to start training with FC Nordsjaelland, where Michael Essien is an Individual Talent Coach.Mata and Essien, who played together at Chelsea, were key in winning the UEFA Champions League in 2012 under Roberto di Matteo.Reports indicated the 36-year-old Spanish international might return to action after being seen training with Nordsjaelland in Malmo, Sweden.However, the club clarified that Mata is only training with them. FC Nordsjaelland's Director of Football, Phil Radley, stated that the arrangement benefits both Mata and the young squad.Reacting to the news, Chairman of Nordsjaelland and Founder of Right to Dream, Tom Vernon said on LinkedIn, “It’s beautiful the legends the Right to Dream vision has attracted.“Chelsea, Ghana and Spain legends and pioneers of progressing the game, Juan Mata García and Michael Essien training and coaching at FC Nordsjaelland.”
