‘Rhythms On Da Runway’ 2024 to shine a spotlight on Ghanaian music, fashion & heritage

The stage is set for an unforgettable evening at the 2024 ‘Rhythms On Da Runway,’ as Ghana’s musical and fashion elite prepare to light up the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on 30 November 2024.

This year’s highly anticipated event, themed ‘The Kente Edition,’ promises a spectacular fusion of vibrant music and cutting-edge fashion, all underpinned by the rich cultural heritage of Ghana.

Music legends such as Amandzeba, Asaabea Cropper, and Nene Agyeman will captivate audiences with their timeless performances, while contemporary hitmakers including Camidoh, Nacee, Kwabena Kwabena, Edem, Epixode, and Michael Stuckey (all the way from the USA) will bring an electric energy to the event.

Expect nothing short of mesmerising performances as these artists bring their chart-topping hits to life on stage.

Adding a dash of humour to the evening, popular comedian Derick Kobina Bonney, popularly known as DKB, is set to deliver a side-splitting set, ensuring the night is filled with both laughter and music.

Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), the Creative President of Nineteen57 and the brains behind the event, expressed his excitement ahead of the show.

“I encourage every music and fashion enthusiast to attend this year’s event and have an amazing time, in large numbers to support the cause of sustainability and promotion of Kente as a national treasure to the world,” he said, highlighting the event’s commitment to sustainability and cultural preservation.

KOD also reassured attendees that the performers and designers are ready to showcase their exceptional talents, promising a night of unparalleled creativity and artistry.

As is customary, ‘Rhythms On Da Runway’ will honour Ghanaian icons for their contributions to the creative industry.

This year’s Black Star Honourees include legendary figures like Agya Koo Nimo, Kwabena Kwabena, Pan-Africanist Chief Momodou Dele, and soulful singer Bibie Brew.
