Co-chair of the Ghana Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (GHEITI), Dr Steve Manteaw, has said that the 2024 elections is not about rhetoric.
Rather, it is about who among all the candidates can be trusted by the people of Ghana.
He is of the view that the clamour for a debate is unwarranted and very unnecessary.
“I don’t understand this desperate clamour for presidential debate.The contest is about who can be trusted, and not about rhetoric,” he said in a post on social media.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has been calling on the Flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress for a debate.
However, the leadership of the NDC has advised their flagbearer against debating Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
