Former President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama has challenged Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to pay Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) personnel who have been owed for several months after the program collapsed.
According to him, paying these young people will give him some form of credibility and trust that he can create the 4 million jobs he has promised to create if made president.
John Dramani Mahama was speaking in the Oti Region when he made this known.
“If he wants us to believe that he will create jobs, then he should pay NABCO personnel who are owed nine months of allowances, and that will show us that he is committed to creating jobs in the country,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has set out eight initiatives he intends to implement to ensure that he creates 4 million jobs for the youth of Ghana during his tenure as President.
The initiatives include:
1. Leverage public policy to sustain and expand Ghana’s rebounding economy for business growth and job creation.
2. Expand public infrastructure
3. Support business for job creation
4. Implement a new tax system for job creation
5. Reform the Agriculture sector for job creation
