Parliament sitting adjourned indefinitely after NPP MPs fail to show up

Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, has adjourned the sitting of Parliament on November 7, 2024.

This is the second time Parliament’s sitting has been adjourned after it was adjourned on October 22.

This comes after Members of Parliament for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) failed to show up at the chamber of Parliament.

The decision to adjourn is a result of the lack of numbers to do the business of the house even though they have the numbers for sitting.

The Speaker addressing Parliament said he cannot adjourn to another date, and therefore he has decided to adjourn sine die.

Speaking on TV3, Lawyer Martin Kpebu indicated that it is about time leadership in the country will negotiate to ensure that things

“They should talk behind the scenes and make things happen. The Supreme Court did not handle this issue very well,” he said.
