Samartex forward Baba Musah Hamadu has targeted reaching the group stage of the CAF Champions League next season.The Timber giants are set for their maiden participation in the CAF elite competition after emerging as champions in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League season.They dethroned Medeama to annex their maiden Ghana Premier League trophy in the country.“We will play only two games if we are unable to reach the group stage. If we lose in the first round of the prelims, it means we will be evicted from the competition. Our wish is to do our best and be in the group stage” he said in an audio aired on Wontumi FM, as followed by Footballghana.com.Samartex are aiming to make a mark in their maiden CAF Champions League campaign.The team ended their preseason training tour in the Eastern Region last Wednesday as they return to Sameraboi for the Nsenkyire Cup.The winner of the tie will progress to the second preliminary round where they potentially face Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic for a place in the group stages.
