Otto Addo confirms Andre Ayew will not be part of Ghana’s squad for Angola, Niger games
The head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has left out Andre Ayew from his Ghana squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.The coach confirmed he has omitted the experienced forward from his squad when he officially announced his squad for the upcoming games.Speaking at the press conference, Coach Otto Addo said he was satisfied with the performance of players he selected in the last call-up.Andre Ayew was also not part of that squad.“We did quite well playing young players, and I know it will get tough. Ghana hosts Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on September 5 in the first match of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Later on September 9, Ghana will travel to Morocco to face off with Niger in the second game of the qualifiers.
