After the December 7 elections, most musicians like Criss Waddle, Medikal and Manifest have all shared their frustrations with the Akufo-Addo’s administration.

Rex Omar, a veteran musician, has said these artistes and some Ghanaian citizens have started voicing out because there is an air of freedom blowing in the country.

“Since NPP lost don’t you feel that there is an air of freedom which makes people express their views without being afraid for their lives?,” he asked Amansan Krakye in an interview.

“Ghanaians said a lot of bad things about Mahama and young people were insulting him anyhow but he never victimized anyone or did anything.

“During Akufo-Addo’s tenure it was completely different so why wouldn’t people be afraid to express their opinion and so many bad things happened,” he said.

“When you voice-out your job will collapse and a lot of people have suffered but they couldn’t say anything for fear of being brutalized,” he added.
