The former general manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, SamuelmOpoku Nti has expressed optimism about the club’s fortunes in the coming season.
He believes that the club has made the best recruitment and will cause several upsets in the upcoming season.
Opoku Nti’s comments comes on the back of Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s total overhaul of their team and the introduction of experienced hands.
Opoku Nti was speaking to Akoma Sports in Kumasi when he expressed this position.
“I will be shocked if they (Kotoko) don’t win the league, given the team they have assembled.
“These days, both individual talent and teamwork are crucial, sometimes the coach doesn’t need to give orders, in those situations, you need players who are mature enough to step up and support the team when called upon, and I think that’s what the current Kokoko team has.
“The additions Kotoko has made makes me extremely happy, and if this pattern keeps up, it will be a turning point.
“Considering Kotoko’s rivals, I’d be shocked if Kotoko do not win the league.”
