The parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Suame constituency in the Ashanti Region and lawyer in private practice, Mr John Darko, has taken his campaign to churches within his constituency.
Mr John Darko and his campaign team led by the national women’s organiser of the NPP, Madam Kate Gyamfuah, today, Sunday, 21 July 2024, visited three congregations to sell the message of the parliamentary candidate and the selfless leadership and bold solutions campaign of the NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and his running mate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh.
Among the churches they visited were the Breman Methodist Church, the Breman Pentecost Church, and the Breman Roman Catholic Church, all within the Suame constituency. The congregation of the three churches welcomed Mr John Darko and his team and registered appreciation for the courtesy of their visit.
Speaking to the congregation on behalf of the campaign team, Madam Kate Gyamfuah called on members of the three churches to vote massively for the NPP’s parliamentary candidate and the Party’s presidential ticket in the upcoming 7 December 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
She acknowledged that there are global challenges that have affected Ghana. However, she observed that the NPP led by Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has a well-thought-out plan to develop the country beyond what President Akufo-Addo has achieved in the last eight years and they should therefore allow the NPP to do the same.
Mr John Darko on his part thanked members of the three churches for the opportunity given him to appear before them and address them. He urged them to continuously put their faith in God regardless of the obstacles that may come their way in the journey of life.
Darko prayed that members of the various churches spread the NPP’s developmental message and unparalleled record, and turn out massively to vote for himself and the NPP’s presidential candidate come 7 December 2024.
