Nothing wrong with Bawumia visiting Wulormor’s Shrine – US-based Professor

A Professor of Education at the Central State University, Wilberforce Ohio, USA, Kwabena Ofori-Attah has argued that there is absolutely nothing wrong with Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia visiting a Wulormor Shrine.

During a discussion on Okay FM’s Egyaso Gyaso monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Professor Kwabena Ofori-Attah said that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is attacking Dr  Bawumia because the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is in a comfortable lead.

He emphasized that the Vice President is a Vice President for all hence there is nothing wrong with his visit to the Wulormor shrine.

“The new tactics of the NDC now is attacking the NPP flagbearer, Dr Bawumia unprovoked. They even attacked him when he paid a visit to the Ga Wulormor shrine. If he is a Vice President, he is a Vice President for all. And if he wants to be President, he should be a President for all”. He argued

Dr. Bawumia, as part of his campaign in the Greater Accra Region, visited some Ga communities where he was captured in a video receiving prayers from a Wulormor at a shrine.

His visit caused chaos as many questioned his fidelity as a practising Muslim while others also applauded him for his religious tolerance.
