Mike West, Longtime CEO of Rothman Orthopaedics, Tragically Passes Away

Mike West, who served as CEO of Philadelphia’s Rothman Orthopaedics for a long time, passed away.

Upon learning of West’s passing, friends, relatives, and coworkers showed their admiration for his outstanding management of Rothman Orthopaedics.

After earning his degree from James Madison University in 1981, Mike West went on to the University of St. Thomas to obtain his MBA.

After beginning his professional career with Paramount Consulting Group and Specialty Care Network, he became CEO of Rothman Orthopaedics in 1999.

In 1999, Mike was appointed CEO of the Rothman Institute. When he was hired, the company employed one office in Philadelphia and seven physicians.

During the almost thirty years that he led the company, he expanded it to employ people in offices around Southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Florida.

After 22 years in the position, Michael E. West eventually left his position as CEO of Rothman Orthopaedic Institute on March 31st, 2021.

After learning of his passing, a worker who was amazed by the way his management approach revolutionized the business lamented on social media.
