New signing of Asante Kotoko, Fernando Wisdom Bassey is set to debut for the club in the Ghana Premier League next weekend after securing his work permit.The midfielder joined the Porcupine Warriors on a free transfer in August.Asante Kotoko signed the player to bolster the squad of Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum for the 2024/25 football season.During Kotoko’s opening game against Karela United last Sunday, Fernando Wisdom Bassey could not feature because his work permit was not ready.Today, there is good news for all Porcupine Warriors with reports indicating that the Nigerian international has received his work permit.The latest development means that the 22-year-old versatile midfielder will be able to feature for Asante Kotoko in the next game of the side should he be included in coach Prosper Narteh Ogum’s squad.Meanwhile, Kotoko's game against Nsoatreman FC next weekend has been postponed due to the latter's involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
