Interior Minister Henry Quartey has renewed the curfew hours imposed on Bunkprugu Township and its environs in the North East Region.
The curfew from the Interior Ministry from 8 pm to 6 a.m. is effective Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
The statement urged chiefs, opinion leaders, youth, and the people of the area to exercise restraint in the face of challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.
Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the Bunkprugu Township and surrounding areas from carrying arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapon, and any person found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.
