Kwadwo Nkansah known widely in the showbiz industry as Lil Win has painfully revealed that he’s not regarded as a serious musician.
“I’m not regarded as a serious musician despite the number of hits that I have been able to produce over the years since I started music,” he told Amansan Krakye, the host.
The actor and skit-maker said despite releasing hits upon hits in the Ghanaian music scene, he’s not regarded as a musician and awarded a such.
He continued “A white man doesn’t bother whether you are a musician or not but when you release a song and it becomes a hit, they will reward you accordingly with an award.
“But in Ghana, it’s not like that because they want you to pay some money for you to be given an award but to pay money for an award I’d rather use it to eat Kokonte.
When you observe the new crop of musicians in the scene, some release only one hit song and they’re given an award and some just do two hit songs,” he stated on Cape Coast’s Property FM.
“I have produced countless hits from Ladder, Mama Boss Papa, Anointing, Woto Mpo Ni and others but have you ever heard Lil Win being awarded at the TGMA?” he asked
