Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi has made bold claims regarding his involvement in John Dramani Mahama’s triumph in the 2024 presidential elections, attributing the victory to what he described as “divine strategy and spiritual warfare.”

Speaking to his congregation in a released video, Prophet Badu Kobi detailed how he and a network of pastors coordinated efforts across various regions of Ghana to counter what he termed “malevolent forces” in the spiritual realm working in favour of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

“I was assigned to the Ashanti Region, the NPP’s stronghold,” Prophet Badu Kobi revealed. “Our mission was clear—neutralize any spiritual attacks and strategies aimed at tilting the election in their favour. It was a battle not just of votes but of divine intervention.”

The Ashanti Region has long been a bastion of support for the NPP, often delivering high voter turnout and decisive victories for the party.

However, Prophet Badu Kobi claimed his efforts were key to disrupting this dynamic.

“God revealed to me that if NPP supporters turned out in large numbers, the election would go to a second round. To prevent this, God instructed me to promote voter apathy within their ranks. By His grace, it worked,” he asserted.

Prophet Badu Kobi further explained that an alternative scenario for Mahama’s victory could have unfolded. “The election might have gone into a second round, but Mahama would still have won, securing over 60% of the votes,” he said.
