Appiah Dankwah popularly known as Appietus, a Ghanaian sound engineer, has said hearing songs he produced being played on radio, at funerals and parties excites him.
Talking about how he feels celebrated in the music scene on Cape Coast-based Property FM, Appietus said he’s the most awarded sound engineer in Ghana having won a lot of awards.
He remarked “There’s not a single day that when I switch on my radio I don’t hear a production that I did being played or when I go to a party at a funeral that I don’t hear my songs.
“It has not stopped and every single day my productions are being played everywhere which makes people jump on the dance floor,” he said in an interview.
“Recently a movie on Netflix used a song I produced for Kofi Nti which is a Hollywood movie and it’s a big achievement so even the white people are celebrating me.
“I thank God for giving me such an opportunity because we have a lot of engineers who couldn’t do what God has used me to do in the industry.
“So far as I’ve been able to make a lot of Ghanaians happy which is okay and I’m the most awarded sound engineer in Ghana because I’ve won a lot,” he added.
