I am positive we will have a good season, says Leicester City forward Jordan Ayew

Ghana international Jordan Ayew is optimistic about Leicester City's prospects for the season.

Despite the Foxes' return to the Premier League and a challenging start—drawing 1-1 with Tottenham and losing 2-1 to Fulham—Ayew believes in the team's potential.

Leicester City recently bounced back with a 4-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers in the EFL Cup, where Ayew scored his first goal for the club.

Having joined Leicester from Crystal Palace on a two-year deal, Ayew is confident that the club's new recruits will contribute to a successful season.

He encouraged fans to support the team through challenging times, emphasizing the importance of their backing.

“I’ve really enjoyed it, especially against Fulham, even though we lost,” the forward told the club website. “I feel comfortable. They welcomed me very well and I'm really happy to be here. The most important thing for me is to have a good season as a team and enjoy this season. We have a really good team, so I'm really positive about this season.

He also highlighted the crucial role of fan support, particularly in creating a fortress-like atmosphere at home games.

“We especially need the crowd to back us as well because this season will be very difficult. We will have some difficult moments, but we need them to be behind us and obviously the most important thing is for us to put in good performances and the win will come.

“All the games are going to be important for us, so we need the crowd, in our home games, to be positive. We need to make it a fortress for us, and that's what we're going to try and do," he added.

After his goal against Tranmere Rovers, Ayew is eager to make his Premier League debut for Leicester City in their upcoming match against Aston Villa.
