GRA ‘Invites’ Global InfoAnalytics; Mussa Dankwah Questioned

Officials of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) have invited the Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director of the Global InfoAnalytics, a private research consultancy company in Accra, MyNewsGh.com has learnt.

The firm, which is an independent research company founded in 2019 and uses sophisticated methods with modern technology to provide research, analysis and strategic counsel tailored to the needs of its clients has to answer a series of questions from the state tax authority.

The company in recent times has gained national recognition for accurate prediction of the 2024 elections. 

Its Executive Director, Mussa Dankwah has said he conducts election polls as part of his company’s Corporate Social Responsibility, refuting allegations of external funding. He has also said his company has clients who pay for the services.

Contrary to reports that the officers stormed the company premises, new report is now emerging that officers of the GRA rather invited Mussa-Dankwah-led company to examine their account books and tax payment records as part of routine tax audits.

After hours of questions and review of documents, the GRA officers did not make any findings of tax infringements on the part of Mussa Dankwah or the Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah himself revealed.

In the October 2024 poll conducted by Global Info Analytics, the company said former President John Dramani Mahama of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) was in the lead fwith 53.1% as against 39% for Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). 

The survey, conducted from October 7 to October 12, sampled 1,969 respondents from all 16 regions of Ghana. The poll was carried out through random telephone interviews, with a margin of error of 2.74% and a confidence level of 95%.

After the conclusion of the 2024 elections, John Mahama secured over 56% while Bawumia got 41% without 9 constituencies’ results.
