Gold Fields Ghana Foundation donates stadium maintenance items to National Sports Authority
The Gold Fields Ghana Foundation, led by Abdul Razak Yakubu, has donated essential stadium maintenance items to the National Sports Authority.This donation aims to support the upkeep of the newly renovated TnA Stadium in Tarkwa, which was recently handed over to the Authority for supervision.Gold Fields Ghana constructed the stadium to serve clubs in the region. During the handover ceremony, the Foundation pledged to provide necessary maintenance items and manuals to the National Sports Authority. Despite initial delays, the Foundation has now delivered on this promise."Just like a phone comes with a manual, the stadium also has documents for its maintenance," Yakubu explained. "We have brought all the necessary items and manuals, covering electricals, civil works, and pitch maintenance, to help the Authority keep the stadium in optimal condition."The TnA Stadium was officially opened with a friendly match between Medeama and Asante Kotoko, with Medeama winning 2-1. Medeama will use the stadium as their home ground for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
