The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bibiani Gold Stars, Akwasi Adu has indicated that Ghanaian clubs need support in all areas of operation.

This comes after the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia promised to support Premier League clubs with buses to aid their transportation if he is voted President after the 2024 General Election.

Speaking to Citi Sports, Akwasi Adu said this initiative will be very beneficial for the clubs.

“Yes, if that kind of commitment is fulfilled, it will be something that we will not forget, especially looking at how transportation has become a big ticket in terms of budgeting for the local clubs. So it will be something that we will all be looking forward to him satisfying it when he gets the nod.

“And even before then, I think it’s also a plus for his detailed attention in the areas of getting the Ghana football, especially the Premier League, revived. And I would always mention anywhere that there is more for improvement in the league. And this improvement is something not to be done by with the club,” the Gold Stars CEO said.

He further indicated that clubs need more support beyond just the provision of buses.

“The club’s goal is we need a holistic support. And one of them means is all that his excellency has lamented. Presently, it’s my first thought,” Mr. Adu said.
