Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey backs compatriot Ibrahim Osman to excel at Brighton
Ghana international, Tariq Lamptey has spoken highly of his compatriot Ibrahim Osman.The two were part of the Black Stars squad early this month when Ghana beat Mali and Central African Republic in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.Now the duo will play together at Brighton & Hove Albion.Speaking in an interview, Tariq Lampey has described his new Brighton & Hove Albion teammate as a very good player.He says he is expecting the talented forward to do very well in England.“You know that Ibrahim Osman is a really good player.“He’s young but he’s really good, he’s hard-working so I’m really excited to welcome him into the squad,” Tariq Lamptey said as quoted in The Argus.The Ghana defender continued, “We’ve already spoken about it at the last (Ghana) camp.“He’s a good guy and I think he’ll do well so I’ll help him out and he’ll be good just to enjoy his football, that’s what it’s about.”In his debut season in England, Ibrahim Osman will have Tariq Lamptey by his side to help him feel at home and blend in.
