Ghanaian defender Patric Pfeiffer joins Swiss top-flight side Young Boys on loan from Augsburg
Swiss top-flight outfit have completed the acquisition of Ghanaian defender Patric Pfeiffer ahead of the new season.The German-born Ghanaian defender joins Young Boys on loan from German Bundesliga outfit FC Augsburg as he aim for more playing time at the Stadion Wankdorf,He is expected to play a huge role for Young Boys in the 2024/25 football campaign.Pfeiffer joined Augsburg on a free transfer last season but struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup.The move gives the Ghanaian defender the opportunity to play regularly in the upcoming campaign.Pfeiffer switched allegiance to represent Ghana at the international in 2022 but is yet to make an appearance for the Black Stars.He recently secured his Ghanaian passport and is now eligible to fully represent Ghana.The defender’s current contract with parent Augsburg is expected to elapse in the summer of 2027.
