The former Ghana Premier League champions embarked on a massive clear out exercise, where over 20 players departed the club at the end of the season. The Porcupine Warriors finished the season in sixth players, ending the campaign without a trophy.

Ahead of the new campaign, the Ghanaian giants has recruited 12 players to augment their team for the season.

And Opoku Nti believes Kotoko have recruited the best of squad to annex the Ghana Premier League title.

“I will be shocked if they (Kotoko) don't win the league, given the team they have assembled” he told Akoma FM in an interview.

“These days, both individual talent and teamwork are crucial, sometimes the coach doesn't need to give orders, in those situations, you need players who are mature enough to step up and support the team when called upon, and I think that's what the current Kotoko team has”

“The additions Kotoko has made makes me extremely happy, and if this pattern keeps up, it will be a turning point. Considering Kotoko's rivals, I'd be shocked if Kotoko do not win the league” he added.

Asante Kotoko are currently preparing for the 2024/25 campaign. They have already made it two wins in the preseason friendly games.

They will take on Medeama on Friday as part of the steps to unveil the newly built TNA Park in Tarkwa.
