An Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Nana Oduro Sarfo, has disclosed that the FA is almost through with negotiations to hand over television rights for the Ghana Premier League to StarTimes.
For Four years, StarTimes held the exclusive rights under a $5.25 million deal signed in 2020. Although the specifics of the contract termination were not disclosed, both parties mutually agreed to end the agreement.
But speaking in an interview on Accra-based Asempa FM, Nana Oduro Sarfo revealed that the GFA is in talks with Star Times to give them the rights.
“As I speak to you, we are almost closing up with StarTimes, and it is likely they will return in the second round to broadcast our games,” he told Asempa FM.
He, however, did not disclose further details of the new deal indicating that details will be made public when negotiations go end.
