Election 2024: NPP will snatch more seats from NDC in Greater Accra, says Agorhom

The Greater Accra regional chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Divine Otoo Agorhom is confident the party will make inroads in the upcoming December elections.

The region has been a swing region in the last seven elections, which makes it a must-watch in the December 7 elections.

The NDC’s John Mahama in 2020 secured 1,328,196  votes compared to the President Akufo-Addo’s 1,253,005 votes to win the Greater Accra Region.

The NPP also lost 11 seats to the NDC in the 2020 elections in the region.

Speaking to Bonohene Baffour Awuah on Atumpa on Asaasepa 107.3 on Tuesday (24 September, Agorhom said ‘’NPP will win not less than 21 out of the 34 parliamentary seats in the Greater Accra Region.

”There are new seats we are targeting to snatch from the opposition National Democratic Congress by the grace of God which is not part of the 21 one that we have currently.”

”If we add that to what we have, the  minimum target, we will go beyond 21,” he said.
