Election 2024: Accra to host NPP’s grand victory rally on 5 December

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that it will cap its 2024 nationwide campaign with a massive event dubbed the “Possibilities Victory Rally”.

The event is scheduled for Thursday (5 December), at the University of Ghana Sports Directorate Park in Accra, just two days before the general election.

In a statement issued by Henry Nana Boakye, the National Organiser of the NPP, the party extended an open invitation to all members, supporters, and the general public.

He described the event as a “historic programme” that will be broadcast live across multiple media platforms.

Party Leadership and Key Figures

The rally will feature prominent figures, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, his running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, National Chairman Stephen Ayesu Ntim, and General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong.

The NPP plans to use the rally to highlight its achievements over the past years and share its vision for Ghana under the leadership of Dr. Bawumia.

A Competitive Climax

Interestingly, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has also chosen 5 December for its final rally.

This coincidence sets up a dramatic finale to the election season, as both parties aim to energize their bases and convince undecided voters ahead of the 7 December polls.

The NDC, led by flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, is expected to focus on its governance plans while critiquing the NPP’s record.
