The Effiduase Police Command in the New Juaben North Municipality is currently investigating the death of a 28-year-old man identified as Ibrahim Ahmed whose lifeless body was found in the early hours on Tuesday, July 23 at Pipeline, a suburb of Koforidua.
Personnel from the National Disaster Management Organisation whose attention was brought to it by passersby alerted the Effiduase Police Command.
The officers who commenced investigations to unravel the cause of the death engaged some persons in the neighbourhood after taking pictures and other forensic evidence.
The New Juaben North Deputy Municipal Director of NADMO, Kankam Twumasi Daniel, who confirmed the incident to Channel One News said the body of the victim has since been deposited at the St. Joseph Hospital for post-mortem.
“In the early hours of Tuesday, we received a call from Pipeline within the New Juaben North Municipality, that is Asokore. We had to call the Effiduase Police Command to collaborate with them to move to the scene.
“When we got there, we saw the lifeless body of a young man named Ibrahim Ahmed. The circumstances leading to his death are not yet determined.”
“Police officers are still under investigation reconvening the body from the scene to the St. Joseph mortuary for autopsy. Family members were identified and came to the aid of the team.”
