New Patriotic Party(NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Cape Coast North Constituency, Mr. Horace Ekow Ewusi has hit hard at persons seeking to distract him through the destruction of his billboards.
The aspirant indicated that he is unfazed by the moves believed to be perpetrated by some saboteurs who feel threatened by his impending victory on December 7, 2024.9.4
Several giant billboards belonging to the former Central Regional Executive of the party have been defaced and others pulled down by some unknown persons he suspects are his political opponents.
But at a meeting with a section of his followers, Mr. Ekow Ewusi knelt before them and appealed to them never to retaliate since he wanted peace in his constituency regardless of the provocation.
“Under no circumstances, under no provocation should any of my supporters get involved in doing this but let us focus on winning both parliamentary and presidential votes for NPP” He urged.
“The vandalism of my billboards and posters won’t stop me from winning the Cape Coast North constituency seat. Let us all strive to promote a peaceful and inclusive electoral process for the benefit of all citizens” Mr. Ekow Ewusi appealed.
“No matter what they do I will never respond to all these provocative acts. Am still focused on snatching the Cape Coast North constituency seat back for NPP and make sure Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia wins massive votes in the area” Mr. Ekow Ewusi stressed.
Reacting to the removal of about 12 billboards including the construction work of a water project at Cape Coast Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Ekow Ewusi told MyNewsGh.com reporter, Hajia Asana Gordon that his developmental projects within the area have given opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) sleepless nights which has resulted in the vandalism of his billboards.
He revealed that when the destruction of his billboards started he confronted his opponent, Mr. Kwamena Minta-Nyarku but nothing was done and only to tell him that it was not coming from people from NDC.
He warned members of the opposition party of NDC within the Cape Coast North constituency and persons perpetrating the act to desist from doing so in the interest of peace.
