Hip-hop legend Busta Rhymes is beaming with pride after receiving an honorary doctorate from Harvest Christian University.

The iconic rapper, known for his rapid-fire delivery and larger-than-life persona, took to Instagram to share his excitement, writing: “WILL NEVER STOP SAYING IT!! THE BLESSINGS DON’T STOP SO WE WON’T EVER STOP NEVER EVER EVER!! DON’T LET NOBODY EVER STEAL YOUR JOY!!! IT’S OFFICIAL!! FROM THIS DAY FORWARD YOU WILL FOREVER KNOW ME AS DR. RHYMES!!!!!”

The award was presented during the university’s New York Winter 2025 Masterclass Commencement on Saturday, February 1, marking another milestone in the rapper’s decorated career.

For Busta, the recognition is more than just an honorary title—it is a validation of his contributions to music, culture, and personal growth. “SUCH AN HONOR AND A BLESSING TO BE CHOSEN AND ACKNOWLEDGED IN THIS WAY!!” he added in a separate post, expressing his gratitude for the distinction.

Busta wasn’t the only one honoured at the prestigious event. Other recipients of the honorary degree included entrepreneur Nikki Hunter-Cummins, singer Monique Nikkole, and Hempstead, New York Senior Councilwoman Dorothy L. Goosby.

The keynote address was delivered by Don Pooh, a renowned music executive and the husband of Hunter-Cummins.

Busta Rhymes, born Trevor Smith Jr., has long been recognized for his influence in hip-hop. With a career spanning over three decades, he has consistently pushed boundaries, blending intricate lyricism with electrifying performances.
