Ghana’s Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif, has disclosed that regardless of CAF’s withdrawal of its approval for Black Stars matches to be played in Ghana, the country has received a letter to host the Women Champions League.
He says this was owed to the great work the country put in the organization of the All-African Games months ago.
Mustapha Ussif made this known when the Parliamentary Select Committee engaged with Save Ghana Sports Forum in Parliament over their petition submitted to it in February this year.
“CAF wrote to us, expressing their interest in having us host the Women’s Champions League,” Ussif stated. “This is because they have seen that we have the necessary facilities, thanks to what we achieved during the African Games,” he said.
