Bawumia, Mfantseman MP take education to the doorstep of a fishing community

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia together with the Member of Parliament (MP) for Mfantseman Constituency, Madam Ophelia Mensah Hayford has constructed an ultra-modern school block at Ankaful, a fishing community in Saltpond to ensure that no child is left behind in the pursuit of educational excellence.

The governing New Patriotic Party(NPP)’s Constituency Chairman for Mfantseman, Mr Nathaniel Owusu and some executives within the area showcased the massive developmental projects initiated by the government and the MP for the area as part of the Mfantseman NPP media engagement.

According to him, “Ankarful fishing community has never seen such a school but since education is a major key to the NPP government, Dr. Bawumia and Ophelia Mensah Hayford quickly constructed beautiful school blocks from primary to Junior High School(JHS)”.

“NPP has done a lot of projects for the people of Mfantseman but I wondering how people are lambasting the NPP government and MP for Mfantesman for not doing anything in the area” he chided.

Mr. Owusu again applauded the NPP government under President Nana Addo and his Vice President for absorbing Abeadze Dominase Private Senior High School into free SHS with the provision of dormitories and school buses.

He disclosed that Dr Bawumia and Madam Mensah Hayford have also expanded Biriwa Vocational Institute into the best Technical Vocational Training in the Central Region.

“When you have the opportunity and you serve your people well then you have unfinished business, as a result, Ophelia Mensah Hayford deserves another term to complete her unfinished business for the people of Mfantseman”.

He lauded Dr Bawumia and the MP for the Mfantesman constituency for their marvellous developmental projects across all the communities within the area.

Mr Owusu believed that “voting for Dr Bawumia and Ophelia Mensah Hayford is a vote for development”.

The projects include a beautiful edifice classroom block at Edumanu, three market projects, two palm oil processing factories, a water project, a CHIP compound and sea defence.

The rest are the construction of roads, lorry parks, dormitories, the expansion of Saltpond Hospital, the construction of Jubilee Park, community centres, the expansion of Anomabo Fisheries College, AstroTurf and others.
