The Office of the President-Elect, John Dramani Mahama, has issued a strong rebuttal to unauthorised lists circulating on social media, which claim to announce appointments and nominations purportedly made by him.
In an official statement released on Monday (16 December), Joyce Bawah Mogtari, special aide to the president-elect, categorically described the circulating lists as “fake and unauthorised.”
The statement emphasised that such information does not emanate from Mr. Mahama or his official communication channels.
“The Office of the President-Elect wishes to categorically state that lists circulating on social media purported to be appointments and nominations made by HE John Dramani Mahama are false and unauthorised,” the statement read.
The office further urged the public and media to refrain from spreading unverified information and instead rely solely on official communication channels for credible updates.
This clarification comes amid growing speculation and viral social media posts, which claim to reveal a list of individuals allegedly appointed to key government positions by the incoming administration. The statement firmly discredits these claims and calls for vigilance against misinformation.
