Rodri and Aitana Bonmati were named the best players in world football at the 2024 Ballon d’Or awards ceremony in Paris on Monday (28 October).
Barcelona midfielder Bonmati won the Ballon d’Or Feminin for a second consecutive year after winning every possible trophy at club level last season, as Barcelona secured a historic quadruple.
Manchester City midfielder Rodri meanwhile won the men’s prize, overcoming Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr, which led to the Spanish club snubbing the ceremony in France.
