Appreciate the linkage between digitalization and economy – Bawumia Schools Mahama

Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed shock over John Dramani Mahama’s ignorance about the linkage between digitalization and the economy.

He is of the view that this kind of mindset must not be allowed closer to the presidency, as it is backward and not forward-thinking.

The NPP flagbearer was addressing young Ghanaians on job creation on Sunday, November 3, 2024, when he made this known.

He said, “Today he says there is no link between digitalization and the economy. How can that be in this fourth industrial revolution? How can we have a leader who does not appreciate the value of digitalization in a digital, global economy? He should not be allowed close to the Presidency with that mindset.

A leader who doesn’t understand digitalization in today’s world wants to be president of a country like ours trying to move forward into the future, no” he said.

On John Dramani Mahama’s signature policy, the 24-Hour Economy has defied explanation and understanding, indicating that it is basically a case of one day, one explanation including the rearing of lions and elephants.
