Amakom FC clash with Bantama FC in 2024 MTN AshantiFest Inter Community Gala final

The grand final and third-place play-off of the 2024 MTN AshantiFest Football Tournament will take place on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Dechemso Otumfuo Park.

The matches will kick off at 14:00 GMT.

Ejisu FC will face Adoato FC in the third-place play-off, while the grand final will feature a thrilling showdown between Bantama FC and Amakom FC.

The exciting semi-finals of the 2024 MTN AshantiFest Football Tournament were held at Otumfuo Park in Dechemso last Friday, July 19, 2024, before a large crowd.

In the first semi-final, Ejisu FC and Bantama FC drew 2-2, but Bantama FC emerged victorious in the penalty shootout with a 4-2 win. The goal scorers were Emmanuel Agyemang Badu (own goal), Kwabena Boateng "Sonny," and Emmanuel Sarpong "Agogo" (who scored twice).

Despite missing a penalty during regular time, Sarpong played a crucial role in Bantama's victory. Kwabena Boateng is a player for Legon Cities, while Emmanuel Sarpong plays for Berekum Chelsea.

In the second semi-final, Adoato FC was defeated 1-2 by Amakom FC, with goals from Kwadwo Taylor and Marvin Owusu securing Amakom's place in the grand final.
